History
Jews in Poland, A Documentary History
by Iwo Cyprian Pogonowski

During 1000 years in Poland, Jews evolved into a modern nation. The Jewish nation and the State of Israel would not exist today without centuries of demographic recovery in Poland.

"... Poland saved Jewry from extinction."
From: "The Burning Bush - Anti-Semitism in World History" by Barnet Litvinoff, on the late medieval and early modern times.

Until the end of the 18th century, when the majority of all Jews lived in Poland, Polish Jews had a very positive view of themselves and did not see themselves as a marginal minority, as they did in other countries among Christians and Muslims.

In Appendix among other texts Henryk Grynberg asks: Is Polish Anti-Semitism Special?
